We believe by developing the right dispositions, our students will have the language, skills, and strategies they need to grow and learn with confidence.

St John Fisher Learning Dispositions:

  • Inquisitive
  • Collaborative
  • Reflective
  • Courageous
  • Resilient.

At St John Fisher College we promote equity, excellence, and opportunity for all students to become successful learners, confident and creative individuals, and active and informed citizens.

Student Pathways

We understand that every student is different and we pride ourselves on guiding each student to find the right pathway, whether it's academically or vocationally geared. A Year 10, 11 or 12 student may be able to complete a TAFE Queensland qualification while still at school. Students may also choose from a wide variety of subjects to study during their senior phase of schooling, and may elect to study any combination of:

  • QCAA General subjects
  • QCAA Applied subjects
  • Vocational Education and Training (VET) certificates
  • School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SATs)

Laptops for learning

Students are provided with a College laptop in Year 7 which is then upgraded in Year 10. This 1:1 laptop program allows us to incorporate a range of technologies into our learning and teaching program. Our onsite IT technicians offer ongoing support ensuring students are able to access learning at their fingertips.
